Faikin WiFi controller for Daikin AC units
Plug a Faikin WiFi controller into a Daikin brand reverse-cycle AC unit to enable better local and automated control to save electricity. It is a fully assembled circuit board and does not require any housing or leads.
Faikin is suitable to use with most Daikin brand units. View a full list of compatible AC units.

- Homeowners can integrate with their own system to fully automate their unit. Connect to platforms called Daikin Mobile Controller, Home Assistant or MQTT.
- Homeowners can control basic local web and status monitoring of their unit. Turn on/off, and remotely adjust temperature.
- Homeowners can control the unit during electricity pricing spikes, to turn on/off remotely, or reduce the total output of the machine to save money. Sych the unit to turn off when electricity costs track too high, and turn on when costs stabilise.
- AirBNB and Hotelier owners can remotely control the on/off operation and the output of the unit before, during or after a guest stay. Electricity costs can be monitored and managed more closely.
- AirBNB and Hotelier owners can synchronise the unit to guest arrival times to pre-warm or pre-cool their accommodation.

No more cloud-based services or data stored offshore
The OEM Daikin controller and app offers the user an ability to control their units remotely relying entirely on cloud-based services, including restrictions on API access, and requiring a constant internet connection. For some users this is a barrier, so we fixed it.
Additionally, the OEM controller is slow, buggy and lags, it can be hard to navigate or command changes; and the user cannot control where their data is stored or managed offshore in foreign countries. For some users this is a concern, so we fixed it.

Easy to setup:
- Open the cover of the Daikin unit.
- Locate the control board slot (typically used for the factory WiFi module)
- Plug the Faikin into the slot. (the plug provides your local web interface control via WiFi. This stops connection to offshore cloud services and removes the need for the Daikin app).
- Your new automated control can now be supported through a broker such as MQTT or integrated with Home Assistant.
- The module can also interface with compatible BLE temperature sensors as an external reference.
-
Simple setup: Operates as an access point with a web setup page over WiFi.
-
Local control: Access and control via a local web page, no app required, and no dependency on external internet or cloud services.
-
Automation ready: Supports automated control through an MQTT broker and integration with Home Assistant via MQTT.
-
Additional compatibility: Can integrate with BLE temperature sensors as an external room reference.
-
Plug in cables: Seven cable variants are available to purchase, suiting a variety of units.
-
Pre-loaded software: All Faikin modules have (flashed) software pre-loaded. Each Faikin is individually tested and plug-in ready!
