Faikin Faikout extension
Cable too short? Mount Faikin out further for a stronger Wi-Fi signal.
Add a 300mm extension cable to bridge the gap between Faikin module - and your standard Faikin and cable set. In some units, standard cables measure only 250mm and this may be too short resulting in a less optimal module mount, and a weak WiFi signal. Faikin Extension makes it possible to mount the module further away - outside casing - allowing for practical overall reach.
Ducted unit and steel casing example
Problem: The control board of a ducted unit is located inside a steel casing. When a Faikin is installed inside the steel casing this is known to cause a weak WiFi signal - the signal cannot get through the steel!
Solution: To fix it, we recommend adding Faikin Extention to your standard Faikin module and cable so the module can now be mounted further away, outside steel for a stronger Wifi signal result.
What is it for?
-
Ducted systems: Mount Faikin outside the steel casing for a stronger Wi-Fi signal.
-
Wall splits: Move Faikin to a clearer spot if the indoor unit location blocks signal, is cramped, or you just want easier access.
-
Neater installs: Create more slack for cable routing, strain relief and service loops.
Key features
-
300mm length adds to standard ~250mm cable
-
Inline 'bridge' design connects in this order: Faikin → extension → standard cable
-
No wiring changes: Plug-in ready
-
Handmade, tested cable quality like the rest of the Faikin ecosystem.
-
Made in Canberra: Silicone insulation, shrinkwrapped genuine crimps, genuine connectors
Notes
-
Extension is intended to sit on the Faikin side of your cable, so it’s ideal regardless of where the indoor-unit connector is located.
-
If you’re installing Faikin outside the unit, consider sensible cable routing and strain relief. Avoid pinching the cable between sheet metal.
