Local control for the Daikin systems the Faikin Faikout cannot reach.
The Faikin P1P2 connects to the P1/P2 control bus used by Daikin VRV/VRF, Sky Air, and ducted systems with a wired wall controller. It works with the major smart-home apps — Apple Home, Google Home, Amazon Alexa, Samsung SmartThings, Aqara and Home Assistant — with no bridge or hub and no cloud account required.

Multi-buy discount: two or more modules or kits, any mix, saves 10% on them automatically at checkout.

It is a collaboration between Faikin and another developer, built on the same local-first approach as the Faikin Faikout. The Faikin Faikout plugs into the control connector on a single indoor unit (the S21, X50A or S403 socket on its board); the P1P2 module instead connects to the two-wire P1/P2 control bus, which is the right approach for VRV, Sky Air and ducted systems.

Works with

  • Daikin VRV / VRF
  • Daikin Sky Air
  • Daikin ducted systems with a wired wall controller (e.g. BRC1E)
  • Older Daikin systems with no X50A port, or the blue X50A port the cable cannot use
  • Mitsubishi Heavy Industries VRF/VRV on the 2-wire X-Y bus, via the MHI variant. The 5-wire MHI systems are not covered — more brands arriving 24 July

It covers the Daikin VRV indoor range — cassettes (FXCQ, FXZQ, FXFQ and more), ducted and concealed (FXDQ, FXMQ, FXSQ), ceiling-suspended (FXHQ, FXUQ), wall-mounted (FXAQ) and others — working with wired controllers including the BRC1E family (BRC1E52 / 53 / 63 / 73). Compatibility is confirmed per indoor model. Send us your model number and controller and we will check.

Control

  • Works with Apple Home, Google Home, Amazon Alexa, Samsung SmartThings and Aqara — set up from the app, no bridge or hub
  • MQTT for Home Assistant, Node-RED and others
  • On Daikin systems with a BRC24-style zone controller, it can also run your individual zones. The P1/P2 bus takes two control devices, so in that setup your zone controller stays and the standard wall controller comes off — more brands coming
  • Fully local, no cloud

What it reads

  • Reads far more than an OEM Wi-Fi adapter, a wall controller, or a third-party board (Airzone, Airbase and the like) can: live temperatures, pressures and other sensor data — 20+ data points on systems with a wired controller such as a BRC1E.
  • Surfaces the system's fault and error codes, so you or your installer can see exactly what it is doing.
  • Sits on the P1/P2 bus alongside your existing wired wall controller — it works with your remote, it does not replace it. (If you also have a Daikin zone controller, the two-device bus limit applies — see the FAQ.)

Module only — you will need a cable

This is the P1P2 module on its own. To connect it you also need a two-wire cable to your P1/P2 terminals. Make your own, add a ready-made Blade or Forked cable, or save with the module and cable bundle.

System: choose Daikin (P1/P2 bus) or Mitsubishi Heavy Industries VRF/VRV (2-wire X-Y bus) so we load the right firmware. The MHI option is the 2-wire VRF/VRV version only, not the 5-wire MHI systems. If you are not sure which you have, send us your indoor model number and we will check for you.

Smart-home setup

Every module ships pre-provisioned and tested — there is no firmware for you to flash, and updates arrive automatically over the air. You have two choices when you order:

  • I will set it up myself (no charge) — the module arrives ready for the local web interface, MQTT and Home Assistant.
  • Matter and Apple Home compatible (A$12.50) — we provision it before dispatch so you can add it to Apple Home, Google Home, Amazon Alexa, Samsung SmartThings, Aqara and other major apps. No bridge or hub needed, and you finish setup with a quick code scan in the app of your choice.

The firmware supports Apple Home and the other major platforms together, so you do not have to choose between them. There is no licence fee on the setup option — the A$12.50 simply covers our time to provision it for you.
