Faikin Ninja cables

The two-wire lead that connects a Faikin Ninja module to your P1/P2 control bus. The module does not include a cable unless you buy the kit, so if you have bought the module on its own, this is the other half.

One cable, either end

There is one cable and it suits both connection points, so there is nothing to choose. The ends are ferrule-blade terminals. They land on the P1/P2 terminals on the indoor unit's control board, on the block marked REMOTE CNTRL, and they sit in the screw terminals behind a wired wall controller such as a BRC1E. Connect at whichever end is easier to reach, and control is identical either way.

The slim ferrule-blade form factor also suits the shallow cavity behind a modern wall controller, where a bulkier terminal is a tight fit.

If you have a zone control kit, connect at the indoor unit. On a zone kit the wall panel, typically a BRC24 or BRC230 type, runs back to the zone controller on an RJ lead rather than P1/P2 screw terminals, so there is nothing at the wall to land on.

Not sure where to connect? Send us a photo of your wall controller, or your indoor model number, and we will tell you.

Worth knowing

  • One cable per indoor unit. Each indoor unit needs its own module and its own cable.
  • The connection is non-polar. Either wire can go to either terminal, so there is no way to get it the wrong way round.
  • No separate power supply. The module draws what it needs from the bus through this cable.
  • You can make your own if you would rather. It is 24 to 12 AWG two-core, 0.6 to 2.4 mm. We sell these because most people would rather not terminate wires in a ceiling cavity.
  • Buying a module at the same time? The module and cable kit is cheaper than buying the two separately.

Fits

All Faikin Ninja modules, both the Daikin P1/P2 and the Mitsubishi Heavy Industries X-Y versions, and both firmware builds. The cable is the same regardless of which system or build you chose.

See the installation guide for wiring, or the Faikin Ninja FAQ for compatibility questions.
