Faikout WiFi smart controller and cable kit

Works fine. Using with home assistant automations for cold morning starts before peak electricity charges.
The device doesn't talk to Daikin phone apps, but is of no consequence because it's web page is just fine for manual control, and feels like an app if you put it onto your phone's home page anyway.
Cable selection and AC unit compatibility checks on the Faikin web site are easy to follow.

Super easy install. Works straight out if the box.

Plugged in quickly. Wasn’t hard to get into the unit with a YouTube video and basic lack of fear getting into appliances / electronics. Had it up and running in Home Assistant providing a wealth of data quickly and easy control from anywhere with real two way comms.

Took forever to find the ports to plug into on the board itself but that's not your fault. Loved the bottle opener freebie, how fun!

They're what i'm searching for my split. Now I can control my units without passing through the Daikin cloud.

Product came quickly and works as described. Although its not plug and play, only basic computer knowledge is required to have it operational. The hardware comes with detailed instructions and if thats not enough Andrew is exceptional with follow up assistance if required.

Works great! Great communication from the team, and pretty much plug and play device (though I had to set things up pretty extensively after plugging it in, but that's expected!). Installation was super simple.

Just brought and installed faikin type A cable for my old Daikin split after quite chat back and forth with responsive developer, and likewise short lead time from purchase to delivery.

Took about 1 hour for install wrestling to get the system open which is by far the most difficult part of the process. So if you are not comfortable with a screwdriver and figuring out how to get into things like this, maybe it is not for you.

Once I got to the PCB it took me about 30 seconds to identify the connector and plug it in. Less than 5 minutes to connect it to my wifi and get web access, and maybe about 10 minutes to configure it for MQTT for my HA (already have MQTT broker), and see it in MQTT entity in HA. Once there, it all works perfectly to monitor or control. I love having extra information like set, outdoor and indoor temperature, liquid temps, fan and compressor frequencies, as well as full control, and visibility that tracks whatever happens on the remote.

Totally recommend this for anyone who likes control and visibility and something that is all internal to the AC unit. Maybe not for people that are not comfortable to get their AC unit opened up. But it was not that hard either. So if in doubt see if you can get to the PCB (there is a generic video in the instructions which hopefully gives you enough of an idea, though mine was a little different and I needed to cover come those challenges), and purchase once you have got that far.

This was one of the best purchases by far that I got for my home automation. I can’t believe such a small device does so much and is so easy to install.

Fantastic. The module itself was easy to install, even if access to the unit was difficult. Was quick to set up and integrate after powering up.

I have a Daikin model FTXF35A5V1B (Spain) and I purchased a Faikin adapter with a Type D cable. I installed it in port S403 as advised (disconnecting the expansion board that was plugged into that same port) and so far it works perfectly (integrated with Home Assistant and MQTT).
