Mount further out for stronger Wi-Fi signalling

Add a 250mm cable extension to bridge the gap between the Faikout module and your standard cable set.

In some units, standard cables measure only 250mm which is potentially too short for the module to be mounted in its optimal position. The positioning problem can contribute to weak WiFi signalling. We recommend using a cable extension to mount the module further away - mounting outside the unit's housing with practical reach.

Ducted units have steel housing

Problem: The control board of a ducted unit is located inside the unit's steel housing. WiFi to and from a Faikout cannot escape the steel housing which contributes to weak WiFi signalling.

Solution: Connect the cable extension to the Faikout module and its cable so the module can now be mounted further away, outside steel housing for a stronger WiFi signal result.

What is it for?

• Ducted systems: Mount the Faikout outside the steel casing for a stronger Wi-Fi signal.

• Wall splits: Move the Faikout to a clearer spot if the indoor unit location blocks signal, is cramped, or you just want easier access.

• Neater installs: Create more slack for cable routing, strain relief and service loops.

Notes

• Cable extension is intended to sit on the Faikout side of your cable, so it’s ideal regardless of where the indoor-unit connector is located.

• If you’re installing a Faikout outside the unit, consider sensible cable routing and strain relief. Avoid pinching the cable between sheet metal.
