Built for ducted units
On a ducted system the module often needs to mount on the outside of the indoor unit's steel box rather than inside it. The v2 case, designed by Nick, is made for exactly that.
A base holds the Faikout, and a sleeve slides over the top for protection. It ships with two ceramic disc magnets that hold the case firmly against the steel casing.
Because the module sits outside the unit, you may also need a Faikin extension cable to reach outside from the board inside. Choose Case + extension cable to add as a discounted bundle or Case only.
Translucent or black
Translucent carries the module's status LED through the whole case, so you can read its colour at a glance. Black is the discreet option if you would rather the case blend in.
Both colours have a small viewing hole so the status LED can be read from outside. On the translucent case the entire shell glows. Both are marked with Faikin Oz branding.

Printed in Canberra
Made by hand in the shed, in Creality PETG on a Creality K1. The extension cable, where included, is handmade in Canberra too. PETG copes with the warmth near an air conditioner better than standard PLA, so the case holds its shape over time.
